Shinedown Diamond Eyes

Hey guys… I’m bringing the party to you…

At long last, the moment you’ve all been waiting for after seven whole months without any updates of my deviations, I give you my latest one yet. Shinedown! Diamond Eyes!

This was suppose to be a contest picture for my good friend which the deadline was suppose to be in the beginning of March. However, being caught up on my studies for my GED kind of drawn me away for being able to finish this. I tried starting on it during February and even thou I may have missed the deadline I still wanted to continue this picture for her so she can still see it.

The contest was to draw a picture of our OC’s with a theme song describing them. Mine was suppose to be of me/my fictional self, using the song from Shinedown, one of my favorite bands with their greatest hit, Diamond Eyes facing off with different video game monsters or enemies I’ve played and beat. This will also be a scene in my fan fic, Fan Fiction: The Ultimate Movie where everyone, including our teammates face off a final battle. So even thou I’m a little far behind I still like to present this picture to my friend for her contest if she’s still interested.

What had taken me so long on this picture was a lot of things aside from studies, family issues, hanging out with friends, and laziness. For starters drawing myself with my arms out was a bit tricky. I will admit it’s not my best drawing of me yet especially with the arms which I kind of think I made them a little too long. As for the background this was also a little tricky, from trying to mix up the different verities of video game villains or monsters. Some where a little hard to draw while others I had to chose which ones I wanted to put in. I wanted to try and put in stuff like Mechassault 2, Lost Planet, Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII, Mass Effect, and much more but I wanted to make it too simple and have as many in the background as I could. That was the hard thing was to see what parts of this picture I didn’t want to feel like unfilled in. Thou I think if I didn’t try using this kind of paper I would have been able to have this done a whole lot sooner 

The theme to this picture is an epic battle scene where all the empire’s forces gather to fight off the remaining teams that threat to destroy their plans of world conquer. The following groups from these video games are Drakan: The Ancient Gates, Turok: Evolution, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Prince of Persia: The Two Throns, Halo 3/ODST, God of War II, Mechassault 2, Metroid Prime, Sudeki, Fable 2, Drakengard 2, Devil May Cry 4, Assassin’s Creed, Dante’s Inferno, Bayonetta, and Darksiders. As both sides of good and evil face to face they collide clashing into one another for a final showdown with everyone broken apart facing off many foes as they can, David stands alone using everything he’s got on him with every weapon used up he is tossed two pistols each from different sides by his allies as he takes grip of them and stands out ready for anything that comes in his way.
